Buying a truck from China: what to check

The right truck depends on the cargo, the route and your country's import rules. Compare more than brand and price — check axle configuration, emissions standard and after-sales parts availability.

Which configuration suits my route — 4x2, 6x4 or 8x4?

4x2 suits city and regional distribution. 6x4 adds traction for construction and mixed terrain. 8x4 is built for heavy tipping and crane work where axle load needs spreading.

What emissions standard do I need?

Most export builds are available in Euro III through Euro VI equivalents. Confirm your destination's requirement before ordering — it affects both compliance and resale value.

Day cab or sleeper cab?

A day cab keeps the unit compact and lighter for local routes. A sleeper cab is worth the extra weight for cross-border and long-haul work.

What should I check on a used export truck?

Ask for the inspection report covering engine hours or mileage, tyre and brake condition, chassis rust, hydraulic leaks and body wear — our inspectors document all of this before loading.
